Corsair Survivor 32Gb

If a 64Gb flash drive is more than you need but the physical security of your data is high on your list of priorities then the Corsair Survivor 32Gb USB flash drive should figure highly on your shortlist.
the Corsair Survivor is encased in CNC milled aircraft grade anodised aluminium.
An EPDM waterproof seal means that the Corsair survivor is water resistant down to 200M (I on the other hand am definitely not!).
If that wasn’t enough it also has a moulded shock dampening collar which protects the drive from vibration and impact damage. It really is the USB flash drive equivalent of a black box recorder!
The Corsair Survivor supports USB 2.0 with backwards compatibility for USB 1.1 and comes with a USB extension cable and comes with dog tags so that when all is left of you is your USB stick they will know who to send it to!
On a serious note the Corsair Survivor is perfect if you want a USB stick you can chuck in a rucksack and not worry. I have had one of these for a couple of months and I put it in my bag for motorbiking to work. It has got soaked a few times with no ill effect. I have also dropped the bag a few times and there isn’t a mark on the drive.
The Corsair Survivor 32Gb USB drive comes with a 10 Year warranty but I really can’t imagine that I could do enough damage to it to stop it working.
Data transfer rates aren’t as good as some other drives but it isn’t particularly slow. The only other issue is due to the physical size of the drive you won’t be able to plug another device into an adjacent USB port. The solution is simple enough, remember to take the extension cable with you!
Given the number of USB flash drives that I have bent or broken over the years it is great to have a drive that I don’t have to worry ab0ut looking after.
The Corsair Survivor is also available in 16Gb and 8Gb models.
